and this was all in my own home after she threw a knife at me.

cant believe this crap.kid was out of controll so i spanked her on her butt with cotton belt.she yelled niehbour called cops.cops come asked what was goin on so i told them she was out of controll and i spanked her butt.next thing i know i'm in cuffs and gone.turns out she had a mark on her lower leg trhat they say i caused.thing is this was on monday and she had spent saturday and sunday at the skate park with her friends and was hit with a skate board,thus the mark on her leg.
end result so far is i am charged with disordely conduct,breach of peace,assult and risk of injury.oh yea and a protective order that wont let me go home at least untill after next court date on the 27.

btw i am just a bit depressed at the moment that i cant see my 3 kids or wife.and i lost my job because i missed the day i was in jail and court so i cant afford a motel.

why do they say that kids are the way they are because parents dont diciplen there kids and when you do you end up in jail

so far DCF thinks i got delt a raw deal as well.

If your child attacks you with a knife, then it must be something in the way you are bringing up this child.

My opinion, is really a moot point this late in the game.

Here in VA, corporal punishment is allowed, but "you can't leave a mark".

Being a police officer, I see PLENTY of punk ass pieces of shit children who need MORE than a belt. And it's all because mommy and/or daddy can't/WON'T bother to teach their children personal responsibility.

I've never met talntar face to face, and I haven't the opportunity to go into his home and assess the family dynamic. (You can tell a lot about a family about how their house is arranged, maintained, and presented).

Knowing my own personal attitude, if MY kid pulled a knife on me, his or her ass would be beaten to a pulp. But that's if my child rearing in the EARLY years had failed. Most children learn their basic morals and forms of human decency by 10 years old. After that, it's a matter of honing them, and being a beneficial contributor to society. I'm all for time outs when they work. It's when they stop being functional that now other means are necessary. Do I want to physically assault my children, no. And seeing the bullshit that gets put through the court systems every day, I can assure you I'd do anything OTHER than physical batter my children if I could help it.
